Guide in Password List Questions

Hallo,

 

1. in the documentation we see that Guide have 3 icons at the bottum = Design + HTML + Preview

We only have 2 of them and HTML is missing.  How can we add this button?

 

2. Can we update several Guides on a passwordlist via API ?

 

3. Also another problem: when we update the guide of a passwordlist - and this pwl is linked to several other pwls in our system - the Guide is not updated.

Hi Kurt,

 

Sorry, but we can no longer show the HTML icons, as it was recommended by multiple penetration testing companies that we remove it for security reasons.

We also do not have the ability to update the guides via the API unfortunately.

For you're last enquiry, we do not have the ability to link Password Lists to other Password Lists, so you will need to update each guide as required.

Can someone explain me how this FORMAT CODE BLOCK in the guides works?

 

Is there a way to insert some kinda code (HTML) with some layout and images?

Hi Kurt,

 

That is one of the default icons with this editor, but we should be removing it as it's not relevant for basic text formatting i.e. font size, color, etc.

 

And sorry, we cannot allow any HTML to be inserted, due to security reasons - even though only authenticated users have access to the pages in Passwordstate, the security companies had concerns that someone could embed malicious content, links, etc.
