Barbara Posted January 31, 2018 Share Posted January 31, 2018 While doing the upgrade I received the following error: - Upgrade error detected - The process cannot access the file 'c:\inetpub\Passwordstate\bin\Passwordstate.exe' because it is being used by another process. - Method = CopyNewFiles. Then I got the message that the Passwordstate service was being stopped but it was already stopped. Now I cannot get back into the application. I receive the attached error. Please advise. Thank you. For anyone else reading this Post, Barbara had some monitoring software installed on her web server that restarts Windows Services if they are stopped. Barbara Posted February 1, 2018 Author Share Posted February 1, 2018 To be more specific the application is Solarwinds Orion. We use it to monitor the service and when it stops Orion will restart it.
