Gregory Ostapenko 0
Hi, Just wonder if anybody else experienced issue with licensed users were not able to log in to Passwordstate when AD sync is in place and there is an enxtra user(s) to be synced from AD. E.g. N users licensed already, you adding N+1 to AD, then nobody can log in and Licence count in Passwordstate shows "-1" According to Clickstudios, it is an expected behaviour and a part of licence protection mechanism. But why other N people should suffer? isn't it an example of faulty logic?
support 214
Hi All, Has anyone else ever experienced this issue in Passwordstate? Gregory, as mentioned in your support call, we believe this has occurred because you just happened to do a Manual AD Sync in the UI, and the exact same time a Schedule AD Sync was occurring - which is executed by the Passwordstate Windows Service. The chances of this happening should be very rare, which is why we believe no-one else has ever reported it to us. We could look at making extra database calls each time we initiate the adding of a new User Account, but that obviously means more load on the web and database server if we are adding accounts in bulk.
