Cannot log in after step 1 of upgrade

I am currently upgrading Passwordstate from  V7.6 Build: 7646 to the latest version and following this documentation: https://www.clickstudios.com.au/downloads/version7/Upgrade_Instructions.pdf


After step 1 of the upgrade is complete and I am logged out, I attempt to log in again and am redirected to the "Upgrade in Progress" screen which tells me to contact my Security Administrator. It does not allow me to log back in to continue to the upgrade process.


I am a security administrator and made sure to enable maintenance mode before beginning. 


Am I doing something wrong somewhere?

When this happens, it means you have accessed Passwordstate with a different account compared to the account you started the upgrade with - hopefully it mentions this on your screen.

If you cannot login with this original account for some reason, you can clear this setting using the following SQL Statement - use SQL Management Studio to execute this.

USE Passwordstate

UPDATE SystemSettings SET MaintenanceModeUserID = ''
