We also check with DB team for debuginfo but there is no record found. The SQL server and database settings were correctly created and this issue is occurring after we entering the system settings values. Can anyone help me out in this ? "Unfortunately an error has occurred within the Passwordstate web site, for which we apologize for the inconvenience. The error has been captured, and Security Administrators of Passwordstate can view the detail on the screen Administration -> Error Console. If you are unable to view the Error Console screen for any reason, you can ask your Database Administrator to run the following SQL Query, which will show the same data from the Error Console Screen: USE Passwordstate SELECT * FROM DebugInfo If you need some assistance from Click Studios in troubleshooting this error, please ask your Passwordstate Security Administrators to contact us for help." It's difficult to know what would have caused this, if we're not yet able to write to the database. Now this is for primary one : We are in process of upgrading the password state from version from V7.3 (Build 7393) to (V7.8 Build 7854). Can you suggest what are the parameter we should keep in mind before upgrading (mainly in DB), we are using the separate db server/instance. Does it change the db name or something like that ? We would be taking full backup of db, web.config file. anything else ? I have gone through the update instruction pdf, but want to be sure if anything else is there. support 223 Posted February 20, 2017 Report Share Posted February 20, 2017 Hi Gagan, The name of the database does not change during an upgrade - only schema and data will be changed. Prior to a upgrade, you should always take a backup of your database, and preferably a copy of the Passwordstate folder - but the main file which needs backing up is the web.config file. Since you are upgrading from Build 7393, there will be two upgrades required through the User Interface, due to the new encryption we are using as of Build 7580. I mean do we need to manually download the zip file for 7580, 7854 and keep in upgrade folder and then try to upgrade ? Or it would be taking all the things by its own and download it automatically and then upgrading. Can you please confirm here. A manual upgrade where you download the zip file, and replace all the files manually yourself, or 2. we have an In-Place Upgrade feature where Passwordstate can do all this for you. If you have a look at the following guide, it will show you the various upgrade options - https://www.clickstudios.com.au/downloads/version7/Upgrade_Instructions.pdf If you are interested in the In-Place Upgrade feature, you will need to configure an appropriate account on the screen Administration -> Backups and Upgrades.
