simpletireman 10
From what we've read, we believe the "emergency access" feature is to be used for instances where users are unable to login, such as when AD is not accessible. We were wondering if this is the method that other people are utilizing for such instances, or if anyone has found a different means of doing so. Our particular use case that we are trying to prepare for is AD being unavailable. Thanks in advance, Jason
slateythree 0
Technically, you could use local passwordstate accounts as well. You can have a mix of local accounts, AD accounts, etc - and reserve the Emergency Access account for more dire circumstances.
support 216
Thanks sleteythree - that's what we would have suggested as well In the unlikely event your AD environment is unavailable, you will also need to enable anonymous authentication for the site in IIS as well - if not already set this way. simpletireman 10
Thanks for the replies! Are there any security issues related to enabling anonymous authentication in IIS?
support 216
Hi, No issues with enabling Anonymous authentication - we have many customer doing this. You still need to authenticate to gain access to Passwordstate. Regards Click Studios
