Hello there,

I'm trying to get the Remote Session Launcher function working and I've followed the steps to install the program, configure the browser, generate the remote session API key, however each time I click on "Launch" in the Remote Session launcher dialog it appears that nothing happens.

I've tried three seperate browsers (IE, Chrome, FireFox) and none seem to be able to successfully open an RDP session.

Hi Peter,

To help troubleshoot this, can you confirm the following for us:

  • Have you got PowerShell 3 or 4 installed on your Desktop computer?
  • Have you gone to the screen Preferences -> API Keys, created an API Key for the launcher, and hit the Save button
  • Have you then gone to the screen Preferences -> Remote Session Credentials, clicked on the 'Configure Browser Support' button, and follow the instructions for configuring the RDP protocol
  • And finally, did you create a Remote Session Credential query so the utility knows what credentials to authenticate with?

If all of this is correct, then we'll need to organise a remote desktop session so we can provide some more assistance.

If any other customers stumble across this thread, we have now updated our documentation for the Remote Session Launcher utility, and added the section '5. Troubleshooting'. There a quite a few suggestions now for what could cause connectivity issues, and you can find the updated document here - http://www.clickstudios.com.au/downloads/version7/Remote_Session_Launcher_Installation_Instructions.pdf
